Drugs 101: What Adults Need to Know

Substance Abuse Prevention

This program provides information about various substance intake methods and classifications. Options include nicotine, alcohol, marijuana, psilocybin, inhalants, synthetic drugs, opioids, heroin, club drugs, cocaine, and/or methamphetamine. Participants are challenged to work in small groups to discuss how they would respond to various scenarios with youth involving substance use. This program can be customized for your specific audience (caregivers, educators, professionals, etc.)

Nutrition and Fitness

Participants analyze the impact of various influences, including hunger and fullness cues, emotions, and stress levels on their nutritional choices. This program also covers healthy eating choices and their connection to blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

In this program, participants are introduced to the three 'Cs' of digital citizenship: content (what you access), conduct (how you act), and contact (who you communicate with). More specific topics include screen time recommendations, management of social media, and online safety/privacy concerns.

Driven to Distraction - Adult

Safety and Injury Prevention

This program aims to increase awareness of the risks associated with distracted driving. Types of distractions, state driving laws, and ways to limit distractions on the road are discussed. A distracted driving simulator is used for a hands-on experience.
