Cells to Systems

Grades 4 - 8

This program leads participants on a journey through the cells, tissues, organs, and systems of the body. Customize this program by choosing two of the following body systems: circulatory, digestive, endocrine, immune, muscular, nervous, respiratory, or skeletal.

CyberWise - Elementary School

Grades 4 - 5

In this program, participants are introduced to the three 'Cs' of digital citizenship: content (what you access), conduct (how you act), and contact (who you communicate with). At the elementary level, a focus is placed on safety and healthy media habits.

Inside Story

Grades Pre-K - 1

In this program, participants take an “inside” look at the human body, with an emphasis on bones, muscles, and vital organs. Engaging activities help participants focus on the importance of good nutrition, physical activity, rest, and cleanliness.

My Healthy Body

Grades 1 - 2

In this program, participants explore various aspects of the fascinating human body, including bones, muscles, and organs. Engaging in interactive activities, participants gain insights into the significance of proper nutrition, physical exercise, rest, and hygiene.

Sensational

In this “sense-ational” program, participants explore the five senses. Interactive activities help participants learn how the senses work, how they protect us, and how we can protect them.

Human Growth & Development

Grow & Know

Grades 4 - 6

This program educates participants on puberty, covering social, emotional, and physical changes. This discussion presents the reproductive system in an age-appropriate manner, while stressing healthy hygiene habits. Organizations decide specifics in regards to audience and content.

Risky Business

Grades 9 - 12

In this program, participants review the structure and function of the human reproductive systems. Pregnancy, from conception through birth, and sexually transmitted infections are discussed. Participants are encouraged to make decisions to protect their health.

Teen Talk

Grades 7 - 8

In this program, participants receive an in-depth review of both human reproductive systems. Pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections are discussed. Participants determine how to make healthy, responsible decisions to protect their privacy and boundaries.

Uniquely You

Grades 3 - 4

This program focuses on the childhood stage of human development. Participants discover learned behaviors important to overall health, such as hygiene habits. Other program topics include genes as a unit of heredity and the basics of dominant and recessive traits.

Nutrition & Fitness

Balancing Act

Grades 9 - 12

This program promotes a balanced approach to nutrition. Participants are encouraged to consider one’s taste preferences, allergies, and goals when making food and drink selections. They analyze the impact of various influences, including hunger and fullness cues, emotions, and stress levels on their nutritional choices.

Eating on the Run - Students

Grades 9 - 12

This program encourages participants to make healthy choices when eating at cafeterias, food trucks, convenience stores, or restaurants. Discussions focus on nutrition guidelines and food labels so that participants are empowered to make healthier choices.

Fuel for Thought

Grades 4 - 6

In this program, participants explore healthy nutrition choices by investigating the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of good nutrition. This program highlights the importance of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water.

Fueling My Special Body

Grades 2 - 3

This program aims to build the connection between nutrition, MyPlate guidelines, and good health. With a focus on the basic function of the major organs of the digestive system, participants learn how the body processes and uses food for energy.

Healthy Hearts

Grades 4 - 6

This program explores the components of physical fitness: body composition, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. Participants learn how exercise helps their hearts stay healthy through active participation.

Nourish to Flourish

Grades 6 - 8

This program advocates for a well-rounded approach to nutrition. Participants are educated on identifying important sources of macro- and micro-nutrients and adopting healthy eating habits. Factors that influence food choices, such as media, are addressed.

Powering Performance

Grades 6 - 12

Designed for student athletes, this program focuses on eating well to improve performance. Participants analyze ideal sources of macro- and micro- nutrients, determine the best methods for hydration, and create a plan to help them reach their goals.

Sugar Shockers - Students

Grades 9 - 12

This program educates participants on types and sources of sugar and how sugar intake impacts blood glucose levels. Participants are provided with strategies for evaluating sugar content in foods and are given recommendations for balanced consumption. The long- term health effects of over-consumption are addressed.

Great Whites

Grades K - 3

This program helps participants understand the form and function of their teeth. There is an emphasis placed on proper brushing and flossing techniques, as well as the effect diet can have on oral health.

Mighty Mouth

Grades 4 - 6

In this program, participants review healthy oral hygiene habits. There is a focus on how decisions about foods, drinks, and drug use can affect one’s ability to keep their teeth and body healthy.

In this program, participants learn all about their teeth and how to take care of them. Interactive activities help take the fear out of going to the dentist.

Safety & Disease Prevention

AIDS & the Immune System

Grades 8 - 12

This program explores the complexities of the immune system, focusing on its response to pathogens and specifically examining how it reacts to HIV exposure. Participants gain knowledge on the possible progression of HIV into AIDS.

AIDS: What Kids Need to Know

Grades 4 - 7

This program focuses on the immune system and its response to the HIV virus. It tackles misconceptions and concerns surrounding HIV/AIDS, while educating participants on the transmission of HIV. This program places a strong focus on prevention.

Bacteria Busters

Grades 1 - 3

This program emphasizes various types of germs, their transmission, and the body's defense mechanisms against them. Teaching proper hand-washing methods encourages participants to maintain good personal hygiene.

Clean to the Core

Grades 4 - 8

This program emphasizes personal hygiene, encouraging participants to establish consistent routines. It covers basic disease prevention and essential habits like bathing, oral hygiene, and managing body odor through interactive discussions and activities.

Driven 2 Distraction

Grades 9 - 12

This program aims to increase awareness of the risks associated with distracted driving. Types of distractions, state driving laws, and ways to limit distractions on the road are discussed. A distracted driving simulator is used for a hands-on experience.

Safety First

Grades Pre-K - K

In this program, the importance of safety in a variety of environments and situations is emphasized. Participants learn what makes something an emergency and how to dial 911 in the case of one.

Smart Moves

Grades 9 - 12

This program is designed to guide teens through special event seasons such as homecoming, prom, or graduation. Participants analyze their influences and are encouraged to make healthy and safe choices. This program can be customized to focus on drug and alcohol abuse, distracted driving, or other risky behaviors.

Stop the Infections

Grades 9 - 12

In this program, participants learn about sexually transmitted infections. Classifications of pathogens, transmission, and signs and symptoms are discussed. Research-based prevention efforts are highlighted.

Summer Safety

Grades Pre-K - 1

This program empowers young learners to stay safe in the sun, practice safety during summer activities like biking and swimming, and confidently seek help from trusted adults in emergencies.

This program deepens participants' understanding of summer safety by teaching them to recognize and prevent heat exhaustion and dehydration, understand the effects of UV light, and respond safely and responsibly in case of injury or emergency.

This program aims to empower participants with the knowledge and confidence to recognize and assert their personal boundaries. Through the analysis of various pieces of evidence, participants eliminate suspects and solve a crime. This program pairs well with Cells to Systems.

In this program, participants explore emotions in a simple and age-appropriate way through storytelling. They are guided through the process of how to name, describe, and express emotions in positive ways.

Grades 6 - 12

This program helps participants understand the difference between flirting and harassment. Participants differentiate between friendly and inappropriate interactions, and obtain the skills to determine how to get help if they experience or witness harassment.

Grades 6 - 12

In this program, participants identify their values and determine what is most important to them in relationships. They determine whether behaviors are healthy or unhealthy, and then consider how they would resolve and/or prevent unhealthy relationship dynamics.

This program defines stress and identifies many short and long-term effects that stress can have on the body. Participants learn practical and proven techniques to manage stress in their own life.

Grades 9 - 12

In this program, participants learn about common communication styles and the value of assertive communication. Through self-reflection and discussion, participants practice using assertive communication techniques.

Grades K - 2

In this program, participants learn to understand and value the differences in oneself and others as what makes each person special. The effects of respect and kindness towards oneself and others are emphasized.

True Colors: You Make a Difference

Grades 3 - 5

In this program, participants are introduced to four personality types, represented as gold, green, blue, and orange. The idea that each personality type has its own strengths and challenges is emphasized. Participants learn that personality differences can sometimes lead to conflict, but with communication and compassion, it can be overcome.

Substance Abuse Prevention

Be Smart, Don't Start

Grades K - 2

This program reviews what the body needs, including oxygen, nutrients, water, exercise, and rest. Taking medicine safely is discussed. Participants are informed about how caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol negatively affect the body.

Clear the Air

Grades 6 - 12

This program focuses on vaping. Participants are challenged to reconsider some common misconceptions about the safety of vapes, and set a goal to avoid nicotine products.

Drugs: Dilemmas & Decisions

Grades 9 - 12

This program discusses various classifications of substances and how they can harm the nervous and respiratory systems. Organizations decide if they would like to include information about nicotine, alcohol, marijuana, inhalants, synthetic drugs, psylocibin, opioids, heroin, club drugs, cocaine, and/or methamphetamine. The Good Samaritan law is emphasized.

Grades 6 - 8

This program informs participants about the difference between stimulants and depressants. It focuses on the harmful effects of nicotine, alcohol, and marijuana on the nervous and respiratory systems.

Drugsmart

Grades 3 - 5

This program defines a drug as any chemical that changes the way the body works. Participants learn about medicines, peer pressure, and the nervous and respiratory systems. The negative effects of caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine are discussed.

Heroin: The Wakeup Call

Grades 6 - 12

This program aims to increase awareness of the national opioid abuse epidemic. Participants learn about prescription opioids, heroin, and the science of addiction.

Huffin' 'N' Puffin'

Grades 5 - 6

In this program, participants learn about what defines a drug, the nervous and respiratory systems, and peer influence on decision-making. Caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine are discussed, while an emphasis is placed on inhalant abuse.
